
2026 Professional Responsibility
The CE course "2026 Professional Responsibility" explores the complex landscape of ethical and regulatory obligations faced by financial professionals in Canada. Through an in-depth case study, advisors examine the overlap and potential conflict between FP Canada's Standards of Professional Responsibility (including the Duty of Loyalty), the CIRO Rule 3402 suitability requirements, and CISRO's Principles of Conduct for Insurance Intermediaries, as well as provincial insurance codes of conduct.
This course is designed for Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) professionals, Qualified Associate Financial Planner® (QAFP®) professionals, and advisors licensed with CIRO and the provincial insurance councils.
To receive continuing education (CE) credits, you will need a mark of 4 out of 6 or higher on the quiz. This course qualifies for the following CE credit hours:
